Open red dots suffer from dirt getting into the emitter, but Aimpoint Acro fixes this issue by being fully closed and sealed. You can mount the Acro on your handgun or use it as a backup red dot on your rifle. Its rugged construction guarantees that you can perform all the demanding tasks with your gun as needed. “Closed-emitter” means the technology inside the optic, which projects the red dot onto the glass, is protected from the elements and debris. This means you can easily wipe dirt, mud, or other debris from the glass or just shoot. With a slightly larger footprint than the Aimpoint RMR, you get full capability to shoot in daylight as well as under night vision.
